Olivia's Flamingo Luau Party!

Hey friends!  It has been forever since I blogged. I feel like that is how I start all of my blogs lately because it just never happens anymore ha!  I had to share Olivia's 5th birthday party though.  She wanted a pool party this year and with a summer birthday there aren't too many options that don't involve water with this 95 degree heat so I was happy to oblige.  She loves pink and flamingos so I just wanted it to be tropical and fun and keep the decor simple (as simple as a giant balloon arch can get anyways).

I teamed up with my favorite Etsy shop Glitter Party Co to make my visions come to life!  Candace always nails it with her fun decor for every holiday and birthday!  She made the adorable palm banner as well as the flamingo cupcake toppers and pineapple fringe for the doughnuts.  I love how it turned out!

She also collaborated with another favorite shop of ours, Lulebloom to create the custom flower and letter FIVE cake topper.  It was the perfect, girly touch to the cake!

I ordered the flamingo cup holder floaties from amazon and they also served as party favors, along with some stylin sunglasses and tattoos!

I made the balloon garland the night before the party and while it looks elaborate it is actually pretty easy to make.  I used an electric air pump to blow up the balloons and it cut my time in half, not to mention saved my lungs!  I cut a small hole in the bottom of each balloon after I tied them and then just threaded them on some bakers twine.  I found the large balloons and the confetti balloons on amazon as well as the number 5.  I used command hooks to hang them and draped the balloons how I wanted them to hang.

Olivia's bikini can be found here and her flower clip is from Lulebloom.  I also had a small and large flamingo floats in the pool from amazon.  The leis can be found here as well as the tassel garland and grass table skirt.  If I left anything out just let me know!

We had such a great time celebrating our girl! I still cannot believe I have a 5 year old!  Most importantly, she had the best time and says that it was the best birthday ever.  Time to start planning Jack's THIRD birthday coming up in just a couple of weeks!  Pass the tissues!
