December Days

This truly is the most wonderful time of the year!  Seeing all of the Christmas fun through Olivia's eyes is making my little Christmas heart swell with joy.  This is the first year she has really been able to understand and get excited.  After two pretty traumatizing experiences we don't utter the "s" word (Santa) in this house.  Girl talked a big game, but screamed bloody murder and clung to me for dear life both times I tried to get her to sit with him.  At least little brother liked him :)

We had a gingerbread house decorating breakfast with a couple of Olivia's besties.  I made cute reindeer waffles and we let the kids make a huge mess trying to decorate the little house.  They loved just playing around the house the most.

I am so thankful for my sweet friends and their baby girls.  I love that Olivia has automatic best friends to grow up with.  I moved around a lot as a child and I never had this opportunity so it means the world to me that my children will have this :)

Our little city Christmas parade has always been a favorite of my holiday events.  It was freezing cold and mom of the year forgot Jack's hat and one of Olivia's mittens in a rush to get out of the house.  We made a pit stop in walgreens and picked up a pair of socks for her to wear on her hands, you do what you gotta do!  I tucked Jack's head into the solly wrap since I was wearing him anyways and we braved the cold.  I managed to snap a few blurry pictures.  Olivia loved the dancers and Jack slept happily for most of the parade snuggled in close to me.  It was a pretty fun night.

I am making an early new years resolution to make myself keep up with my blog better so let's see if I can make it happen with all the Christmas fun we have packed into the next few weeks :)
Until then, here is some Jack cuteness
