Wonder Week

That moment when you are nursing your sick baby to sleep because she has not had a nap all day and she finally falls asleep.  You stare at her beautiful, innocent little face and in that moment it makes the last 48 hours of no sleep totally worth it.  Then, you sneeze....all hell breaks loose and any hope of a nap is now history.  You both just look at each other and cry because really, what else is there to do?

My poor baby has her first ear infection and she has been pitiful.  She has been on antibiotics for a few days now and is finally starting to feel better.  Being sick hasn't stopped her from hitting some major milestones this last week!  She is now a full on crawler..leaving a trail of snot wherever she roams!  She is also pulling up on everything she can reach.

This includes her crib.  Nap time has been a real struggle.  She will stand and jabber for-ev-er!!!
It is like she doesn't understand how to just lay back down and go to sleep.  Throw an ear infection in the mix and we are getting no sleep around here.
There is this book called The Wonder Weeks - or something like that.  Apparently we are in a wonder week because she is hitting milestones left and right and her little brain just can't rest. She uses her naptimes these days to practice all of her new "tricks".
I am beginning to wonder if I am going to make it through this with my sanity.
It has been cold, snowy and rainy here so we have been couped up with our sick germs for almost 2 weeks now and I think we are both about to go stir crazy!

This morning we had to get out of the house so we took a trip to Ash's.
Sidenote - has anyone ever taken their carseat apart to clean it??  I thought it was necessary to get it squeaky clean, against Chad's advice.  It took me a good 20 minutes to get that sucker put back together, with a baby crawling in my lap whining mamamamama the whole time :)
Nana came to Ash's too and brought us chick-fil-a, yum!  Olivia enjoyed seeing Ava and playing with some new toys for a bit.

It was nice to get out of the house and we are hoping to both feel better soon!  We have a trip to the zoo planned for tomorrow since the weather is supposed to be really warm :)

I really am so proud of my growing girl.  Crawling, pulling up and standing, saying mama all the time, it is almost more than my heart can handle!

Love this little crazy, sick bug!

Happy Hump Day!
(ps. I totally had to check my calendar to make sure it was in fact Wednesday, it is)
