Sweet November

November marks the official beginning of the holiday festivities for our family and my very favorite time of the year!!!  I am so happy to get to share my obsession of holidays with my little one and the fun has started already!

We have a supper club with a couple of my besties and this month it was at my house.  I decided to take on making a Thanksgiving feast making a turkey and all.  All I have to say is I have a new respect for my momma, that is hard work!  We had such a fun time with sweet friends.  Let the celebrating begin!

Fun, Festive decor for the table!

My little helper!

On the menu: Turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, mac-n-cheese, green beans, dressing, and delicious home made apple pies for desert - made by chef Lindsey ;)

Olivia was soooo sleepy after refusing her 4 o'clock nap.  She barely made it to 6:30 before crashing.

After dinner we relaxed with a glass of wine and watched ELF.  Perfect ending to a lovely night with these ladies!

We are so thankful for our family and living close enough to hang out with them whenever we want!  From dinners at mom's house to play date's with the cousins at our house we have been thoroughly enjoying our family time!

Olivia and my "little" brother, this pretty much melts my heart

Ash and her girls came over and we had cookies and played in the playroom this week.  Ava and Olivia are so sweet together. Ava wants to give Olivia "love" all of the time.  They are going to be best buds.  Love all three of these sweet girls.

We are also thankful for new friends!  Olivia got to meet Jenna this week, who is exactly one month older than her.  Her mom and I went to high school together and have been talking a lot since we had the babies so close so we decided to meet up and let the girls play swing side by side.

Speaking of swinging, this child is a swinging fiend!  I have been taking her at least once a week since the weather has been so mild and she absolutely LOVES it!

Sometimes we even let Daddy join in the fun ;)

Hope you are all having a Sweet November and making lots of memories!  Looking forward to Thanksgiving this week and more of these jammies! I might have to do a whole blog post for all of Olivia's Christmas wear by the way.  Things are getting a little out of hand in the fashion department around here, but I cannot help myself!!!

25 Days of Christmas Cardio Challenge!

Last night, as I polished off a package of holiday Oreos, I pondered if I am the only one indulging in sweets and kicking my workout routine to the curb for the holiday season.  In between juggling a new baby, a new house, trying to decorate for Christmas and oh yeah, Hey Hubby, I can come up with lots of reasons not to exercise.  I have used everything from "I don't want to wake the baby up" to "If I do that jumping jack my milk will most definitely dry up" and my favorite "I will start tomorrow". 5 Months Old!

I know I say this every month, but I really cannot believe my angel baby is already 5 months old!!!  She is really starting to become her own little person and I fall more and more in love with her every day.  I feel like this month she has transformed from this tiny wad of a baby into a little girl. It is so exciting and heartbreaking all at the same time.   I really do wish I could freeze time and keep her exactly like she is today for just a little while longer.  I am so thankful that I get to stay home and be with her all day long.  Being a stay at home mom has its challenges, but the rewards are worth it!

5 Month Stats
Weight: around 17 pounds..no exact way to measure
Length: around 27 inches, best I could tell with her wiggling around
New Tricks: Rolling like a mad woman (cannot keep her on her tummy, she rolls right over to her back after only a few seconds), singing (she is very vocal, which I love!  Probably because I am talking and singing to her all day long), she is finally really playing with toys and it is so cute, teething (not my favorite new trick..), blowing spit bubbles (always the little lady), eating her feet (and anything else she can get her little slobbery fingers on), and trying to sit up!! I am especially excited about this one...she can sit by herself for a few seconds and then falls over, but she doesn't seem bothered by it!
She is such a sweet and happy baby!  She is an excellent sleeper, going to bed at 7 and sleeping until 4-5 in the morning, quick snack and then back to sleep until 7 or 7:30.  She is a great traveler and she will fall asleep strapped to mommy no matter where we are :)

This month is very special to me because Olivia gets to experience her first Thanksgiving!  I may even let her nibble on some cream potatoes at the table with the big folks!  We have a big Thanksgiving dinner at my mom's and I am so thankful Olivia will have a big loving family to grow up with.  We also have lots of festive outfits to wear and of course, themed headbands!!!

Also, one of my best friends in the whole world had her little girl 10 days ago.  Olivia finally got to meet sweet baby Emma today!  We had to take precautions since Olivia had a runny nose last week.  I have always thought how special it would be to have a life long friend and now my baby girl gets to experience that, times like 5!!!  A lot of my friends got married really young and started having babies and I thought that we wouldn't get to experience that together since I didn't find the one until I was 26.  I know, that is not that old, but at the time I felt super old, haha.  I am so glad we get the chance to have babies together.  Hooray for playdates!!!  They love each other already ;)

Of course my child had to poop all over her clothes before we could get a picture...oh well!

To my baby girl
I hope you know how much you are loved!  I try to show you and tell you probably a thousand times a day.  Not just from me and Daddy though, you have so many people to love on you and I am so thankful for that.  You are getting so big so fast that it seems like I am watching you grow and change before my eyes some days.  You are so silly and you love when I sing really loud and crazy to you.  I am in love with your sweet giggle.  I could listen to it all day long.  Sometimes when you are asleep Daddy and I watch videos of you because we miss you, haha.  You go to bed really early ;)   I love you to the moon and back and I am beyond blessed to be your mommy!

Ps.  How did you go from this...

To this in just 5 months....

Love you so much my little bestie!!!!!
